Sal Enjoy Nature at Sifeng Mountain
Sifeng Mountain is a small mountain located just outside of Jiamusi city. While not very tall, it offers visitors beautiful natural scenery. There is a reservoir at the base of the mountain with a small island in the middle. Those wanting a more active experience can rent a barbecue grill and cook their own meal beside the dyke overlooking the water. For those interested in culture and religion, there is also a Buddhist temple called the Yufo Temple located on the mountain, though its exact location may require asking locals for directions. The mountain offers a nice escape from the city into tranquil natural surroundings.
Relax at Xinglinhu Park
Xinglinhu Park is one of the best spots in Jiamusi for taking a break and relaxing. As a normal city park, it has plenty of open grassy areas perfect for picnicking or simply enjoying some leisure time outdoors. Visitors can also interact directly with local farmers and see manufacturing of traditional farm products like tofu or pickled vegetables. It provides urban residents a rare opportunity to experience Heilongjiang’s agricultural heritage.

For those wanting a destination further afield, the historic Buddhist temple Yuanhai offers a culturally and spiritually enriching trip. Located approximately two hours by car from Jiamusi in a scenic mountainous area, it is one of the most renowned temples in the region. Visitors can explore its grand courtyard architecture reflecting Ming and Qing dynasty styles, admire traditional decorative art, or even attend meditation sessions or religious ceremonies. With a scenic backdrop of surrounding forested hills, Yuanhai Temple creates a serene natural environment ideal for reflection or escaping daily concerns.
